Greetings from the Yellowstone Hosted Adventure,
It is hard to believe we are already half of the way through our trip. Time flies when you have a great group and good fishing.
We have focused our fishing in the Lamar Valley of Yellowstone National Park. These rivers don't usually come into prime shape until mid or late July. This year everything is early, and our timing is perfect. The favorite section for the group has been the Slough Creek Meadows. These backcountry meadows are famous for their big cutthroat that eat dry flies. Our group makes quick work of the hike in, and everyone has caught some of these beautiful fish.
Tonight we will head into Livingston, MT for some burgers, ice cream, and fireworks. After one more day of fishing in the park we will do our float on the Yellowstone River before everyone heads home on the 7th. We will send another update after departure day with a link to all the pictures from the trip.
Best,
Will, Tee, Mack, and Connor
