Hi all,
For the last two days of the trip, the boys floated the world famous Madison River. Everyone caught fish and had a good time despite the poor weather conditions. Half of the group floated while the other half fished other rivers in the area. It was great to get to see how much this group has grown as fisherman over the course of the trip. Working on things like hook sets and clean drifts while floating, the crew looked good and confident.
The group also gave back to the community by completing two trash cleanups at various boat put-ins on the Madison. We had a phenomenal banquet dinner that consisted of steak, focaccia cheesy bread, salad, beans and rice, and a chocolate cake to finish it off. We've had a lot of fun the last two weeks - we've watched a group of guys build great friendships, develop confidence in themselves, support each other, and share knowledge they have. We hope they've taken away not only fishing skills, but an appreciation for these awesome places and the resources that come with it. We head to the airport bright and early. Thanks for sharing your kids with us - we sure enjoyed it!
Until next time,
Shane, Jacob, and Hunt.
