Hi all,
On the final section of the trip, we spent time at a few of the rivers a little bit closer to base camp. On the first day back at base camp, the conditions were hot making the fishing very slow. So the guys decided to blow up the inner-tubes and break out the rafts and went swimming in the lower sections of the Madison River. As it cooled down, we strung up our rods and made a plan to fish nearby.
The fishing at Three Dollar Bridge was great in the evening as it began to cool down. As we dialed in our fly selection, the effort certainly payed off. The kids landed many large fish and hooked even more. The fast current made for great fish fights and the fish here are strong.
On the final day, we wade-fished the Madison one final time and it is awesome to see how far the kids have came. All of the guys have made tremendous progress In their fishing abilities and it is awesome to see all of the skills they have gained. After a long day of fishing we returned back and grilled steaks for our final banquet dinner. We then sat around camp reminiscing on fish stories from a surely unforgettable trip. We've all really enjoyed getting to know this group of guys - they're fun, talented, and work well together. We hope to see them back again this time next year.
Signing off,
The guide crew
