The Base Camp Crew is a new role created for the 2024 season. The goal is to help bridge the gap between our participants and trip leaders. Transitioning from participant to guide can be difficult, and the amount of previously unnoticed work that goes into running a successful trip can be overwhelming. As part of the Base Camp Crew, you will gain first-hand experience leading groups, guiding on the water, and teaching new skills while also helping make sure our base camp in Ennis, MT is running smoothly. That means you may be mowing lawns, fixing trailers, cleaning gear, and general maintenance. What you get out of this experience will hinge upon what you put in. We are looking for individuals who are ready to work hard, and excited about the opportunity. When the work is done right you will have plenty of time to fish, access to vans/rafts, and all your expenses paid for a pretty epic summer in Montana.

The Base Camp Crew consists of graduating seniors entering their first year of college. As part of the crew, you must be ready for your job to change daily and often hourly. When groups are at base camp, you help trips run smoothly by becoming an enthusiastic member of the leadership team. In the evening, you will be helping with the cook crew, leading an evening activity, facilitating a positive environment around camp, or back out on the water. When groups aren't around base camp you may be helping with maintenance around camp, scouting some rivers, or helping plan, shop for, and organize food.
