Waking up to what looked like what was going to be a good day we loaded the van and headed to the Davidson River Outfitters Shop to start our day. We were split into two groups with two guides. Dobson and I were with “the Man”, Jeff, while Tripp, Edward, and Will were with “Big Bill.” We started on the public water to begin our morning. Meeting back up at lunch we shared fishing stories. Everyone had caught some fish except me. I was still skunked. After lunch we split up again and headed to Davidson River Outfiitter’s stretch of private water. This was a great success! Dobson and I caught a whopping 27 fish between the both of us. I caught a 24-inch rainbow, the biggest fish by the smallest guy.
The other group of three gents caught 21 fish with some good lengths also. We thanked our guides for a wonderful day that we would always remember. Once we got back to camp, Chef TC started up the dutch oven with the help of Dobson and Edward. They cooked a delicious chicken parmesan dinner. We ended the night with some Frisbee and fly tying and then hit the sack!
